About the game:

Masque Collateral parodies the high luxury of the Gilded Age and the absurdity of the hyper-rich. Hugh Bris is a young man seeking revenge, and having infiltrated the Unmasquerade Ball, seeks the one responsible for his family's demise. Using your incredible talent for dance, keep your score high to avoid getting kicked out of the party before you can enact your revenge!

About the Audio:

This music was made specifically for the Global Game Jam 2026  "Masque Collateral" game.

The audio was created in Ableton Live using the miniBit plugin for all sound generation. I was aiming for a Game Boy style chiptune sound, but allowed myself to use more tracks than original Game Boy hardware would normally support. Even so, everything uses a single synth to keep the sound consistent.

Most sounds were designed from scratch, with a few starting from miniBit presets and then edited. No third-party or licensed audio assets were used.
